Hydrogen bus, Europe funding 1.5 million

In the future, across the streets of Perugia might run hydrogen buses?

The project ” H2Power Hydrogen in Fuel Gas”, of which the Town of Perugia is the leader with APM (the local public transport company) and Egenera (a Perugia company that deals with generating and saving energy), concerns the use of hydrogen applied to public transport and it is funded by the European Commission within the programmes regarding the environment,.

The 31st of January in a press conference there will be the official presentation of the project with all the details by the Councillor for Mobility Ciccone. It has a total value of 1,440,205 euros, of which the European Commission funds 633 thousand. The activities related to the project are financed mostly (70 thousand euros) by the Municipality and will run for thirty-eight months at a cost of nearly 95 thousand euros. For the implementation of these activities has been created a working group made up of six employees of the Municipality in the mobility sector.
